And they devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers.
— Acts 2:42

What are Groups?

At Jordan Creek, we understand that church is more than a Sunday morning experience, more than a building. “Church” means creating relationships that go deeper than a quick chat or a casual hello. Groups is our adult ministry where we gather to pray, break bread, and fellowship with one another. This may mean talking more personally about the current sermon series and how it applies to each others’ lives. Sometimes it means sharing struggles in a marriage or with children. Groups vary in size and type. Some groups are small, some large, some as men and women, and some as just men or women.

DISCIPLESHIP

Love Jesus. Follow Jesus.

“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

Matthew 28:19-20

FELLOWSHIP

Rooted in consistency and reliability, we gather to encourage one another and dwell in unity.

“Let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.”

Hebrews 10:24-25

APPLICATION

Each group reflects on Sunday’s sermon or the designated study series and aims to implement the lessons throughout our week.

“Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.”

Philippians 4:9

MULTIPLICATION

We foster a culture of multiplication.

He who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will supply and multiply your seed for sowing and increase the harvest of your righteousness.”

2 Corinthians 9:10
